The Blog
Yes, I'm actually doing this!
I have found a real passion for writing. I’m not ‘trained’ or qualified in it, I just got a ‘B’ in my English GCSE and whilst I know that my grammar is not the best, I hope people will see past that and just enjoy the message I’m trying to share. The blog is a bit like a journal for me, a wordy scrap book that I can look back on and share with the girls. It’s a moment in time where I’m trying to capture the feelings, emotions and events of that time. I’m putting myself out there and opening myself up to criticism which freaks me out a little bit, but we need to take ourselves out of our comfort zone and I feel a great sense of identity and enthusiasm for it. So I suppose I could say the blog is ultimately for me and my family, but I know there will be people out there who feel the same passion, have the same views, or even have completely opposing views, that would find some happiness or self worth in having somewhere to voice these views without judgment. That’s why I really want to share this journey and I really hope people jump on board. My blogs are written as things come into my head, they aren’t edited, I think you can lose the original emotion by over editing.... they are all written in the notes section on my iPhone, when I get a moment. This is perhaps the riskiest part of it but is also what makes it, in my opinion, valid and the best resemblance to ‘real life’ that you can achieve by writing.
To anyone who actually reads my Blog, thank you so much!
